The workshop is modular so that those with different backgrounds and requirements can all benefit to various degrees. Students will learn how to code and debug application programs which manipulate ORACLE databases via Embedded SQL in either 'C' or COBOL. In addition to coding techniques the workshop also focuses on design considerations, efficiencies, built-in functions, authorization, locking, recovery, and utilities. Each participant will receive a textbook with numerous SQL and application programming examples, plus a summary list of efficiency tips.

Any version of ORACLE including versions 7.x, 8.x, or 9.x can be presented.
