CICS Systems Administration


This 5-day workshop is designed to help CICS System Administration personnel to understand CICS from initialization through to shutdown, including maintenance, performance and availability.

This class is taught by lecture with hands-on workshops.


Who Should Attend

Personnel responsible for CICS Administration experienced application programmers, system programmers, and managers.


Prerequisites

The participants should have CICS experience.


Workshop Objectives:

  • Start, run, and shut down a CICS system.
  • Perform CICS administration duties.
  • Understand resource naming conventions.
  • Use CEDA,CEDB, AND CEDC to manage CICS resources on-line.
  • Maintain Macro tables.
  • Understand performance considerations.
