Voice over IP for the Sales and Marketing Professional

The telecommunications industry is evolving in significant ways. As new technology is constantly introduced and the demand for converged communications infrastructures soars, understanding the key technical concepts driving this modern revolution is essential to success in today's sales and marketing of these technologies.

This 1-day workshop will cover all the major topics and issues involved in the marketing, selling, and deploying a Voice over IP (VoIP) solution. Your attendance will expose you to the latest packetized voice, TCP/IP, voice transport, and industry best-practices. Additional topics include regulatory issues and uncertainties, market characteristics/drivers, key competitors and their offerings, and current case studies.

The workshop will focus on understanding the technology to aid the sales and marketing of the VoIP products of your company. The case studies and current offerings will be oriented towards situations in which the participants can incorporate their own experiences and get answers to questions concerning current problems and issues. The concepts of understanding the "what" and "how" of packetized voice systems will be integrated with the "why" and "wherefore" of sound communication planning and management of internal telephony infrastructures. Issues of preserving existing investments, staged implementations and solutions will be prominent throughout the session discussions to ensure the participant's grasp of making their packetized telephony environments practical, efficient, and cost-effective.
